2016-17 Accomplishments
A dedicated 5-member board serving the district is committed to implementing the FFPD Strategic Plan. You can view the Strategic Plan and much more at fairviewfiredistrict.org. Some District accomplishments are noted below;
- Web site has been updated to provide modern content and mobile access Maintain a balanced budget and identified savings while also increasing services to the district.
- Improved website accessibility to the FFPD Strategic Plan, Budget & Annual Audit, Meeting Minutes & Agendas
- Developed a new FFPD Board of Directors Governance Policy
- FFPD Board of Directors are trained in Brown Act and Ethics in ensure Good Governance & Compliance
- Created and staffed a FFPD General Manager position
- Hosted an Open House at its Fire Station 8 on September 21, 2017
- Continually receive Emergency Response Reports from HFD Staff
- Completed FEMA on line course on Emergency Management
- Updated Strategic Plan to align with District Goals and Objectives
- Acquired 3Di Weed Abatement Management Program
